Nestled in a discreet location on Atlanta’s West Side, this 4500 square foot space is a unique creative mecca that has hosted professional artists, musicians, film-makers, dancers, technicians, and every type of performer and creator that the growing entertainment industry in Atlanta has produced for over 5 years.

Encore has serviced notable celebrities including Tyler Perry, Clifton Powell, and Ludacris, TV shows Love & Hip Hop Atlanta, Ricky Smiley - For Real, Growing Up Hip Hop Atlanta, and has produced content for VH-1, A&E, WeTV, Lifetime, FYI, MTV, NetFlix, and Amazon On Demand. This minority-owned business is owned by Atlanta natives and musicians Leroy Lovelace, Jr., Tony Cooper, and CEO Rod Whittaker who is always on-hand and available for assistance, and his ties to the music community of ATL go back in a way that ensures a familial and productive session.

“I think our success is due to the fact that we respect the indie challenges, and with that in mind, we try to keep our prices affordable. That and we treat our rising stars with the same impeccable customer service as our celebrities,” says Rod Whittaker.

The front lobby is beautifully decorated with oceanic tones laid out in an art deco design, and an air of camaraderie is always palpable as you walk through the lobby, past the conference room, and into the lounge area with vending machines, refrigerator, and microwave. There, you are escorted through time by the vintage albums that cover the walls from Earth Wind & Fire, Jackson 5, James Brown—American music history forming a shiny black vinyl portal (which you can see in countless music video’s, The Ricky Smiley Show, and most recently, episode 12 of Growing Up Hip Hop Atlanta).

This portal leads to the multi-tiered sound stage with a whopping 112 ft. pre-lit CYC wall that stands 16 ft. high with white, green, and black areas for filming. Clients are able to over-see all activity from the elevated but comfy lounge-slash-meeting-slash-chill-out-between-takes spot with a large flat-screen and easy access to the control booth for all the parties, rehearsals, shoots, performances, tapings, auditions, readings, promotional events, and production meetings that grace the fabulous space that is Encore Film And Music Studio.

The studio is accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at the whims of the customer’s needs, and everything you need for your filming, recording, or rehearsal project is on site for your use.

Any artist will tell you, it's about that vibe and that pretty much sums it up. Encore Film And Music Studio truly has that magical creative vibe.
